School Magazine - Planning Sheet

Who is the target audience ?(consider age, gender interests) my target audiences is aimed at students who are in year 13 and who are ready to leave for university and who are interested in having a bright successful future while studying various subjects.

what is the name of your magazine? What are the connotations of the name ? The name of my magazine is called "Bright student". The connotations show how as an individual you can achieve and go ahead the right way weather you are a male or female doors are always opened. And believing will allow you to reach all the right grades you want because everyone is bright and intelligent in their own way.

who will be your front cover model and why? my front cover will display two students female/male(Yr12/Yr. 13) who are standing over a lower class student, this shows how they are influencing the younger years to go university, as they are going university to study hard and get degrees. .this image will then bring attention to my target audience.

what sort of shot will it be ?Inside/Outside? Low/high angle ? It will be a low angle shot capturing the students head to toe. This shot will be an exterior shot in the playground meaning that their will be natural ambient light. The shot connotes that these two students are the main focus in my magazine "bright student" because they are also individuals and they will be taking there own personal paths in life. This will then relate back to my target audience in a way that at university you are independent.

What Misenscene will be required ?
The location will be in an exterior setting .The students will be informal school uniform to demonstrate to the target audience that they are young adults just like them, this should also allow student to engage with the magazine. the lightning will be natural ambient lightning from outside because my magazine is names "bright student" the light may also represent a bright star even though the lighting is not yellow, but is clear.

what would be your sell lines ?How will you entice your target audience ?

"Shine bright like a student". A way I will entice my target audience (teenagers-16 17&18 year olds ) will be by strictly directing the magazine to them address them and only talking about them. my magazine will include different images of student in different study areas example Library computer rooms classrooms etc. The front cover will include tips on how to make personal statements , how to revise and also how to plan your journey for university.

what items and feature articles would you need on your contents page?
I will need comments and quotes from teachers who have taught yr. 12&13 student ,teachers and students that will give their views on how they think university is and what standards do you need to get yourself prepared for university life. everything will have to be positive in order for my target audience to interact with my magazine
